Due to the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and corresponding State of Emergency in Massachusetts, most AGO staff are working remotely.  As a result, there may be some delays in responding to public records requests, especially those that require the retrieval of hard copy records that are not available electronically.  We do not have a timetable as to when we will be returning to normal operations but will do our best to respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe given these extraordinary circumstances.  Thank you for your patience.

  2. General guidance about the AGO public records process is available online.  You may also contact the AGO Records Access Officer or her staff with any questions.
  3. The AGO can only respond to requests for records that are within its possession and cannot respond to requests seeking records from other agencies.
  4. The AGO does not accept oral or anonymous public records requests.
  5. If you need to submit supplemental materials as part of your public records request, please contact the AGO Records Access Officer or her staff.
