DAV - Disabled American Veterans

A national non-profit organization that provides a lifetime of support for veterans of all generations & their families.

The DAV is dedicated to empowering veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect & dignity by ensuring that veterans & their families can access the full range of benefits available to them. The organizations fights for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill & educates the public about the great sacrifices & needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.

Who is eligible to join

 

Any veteran who:

  • who served in the armed forces during a period of war or under conditions simulating war, and
  • was wounded, disabled to any degree, or left with long-term illness as a result of military service, and
  • was discharged or retired from military service under honorable conditions.

How to join a local chapter

The DAV Department of Massachusetts is organized local chapters across the Commonwealth, each with an elected Commander. To join a local DAV chapter start using the "Find a local chapter" tool to find the contact information for a chapter near you.
