DCAMM Access & Opportunity Committee Program

DCAMM Launching Access & Opportunity Committee Program

Table of Contents

DCAMM is establishing Access and Opportunity Committees (AOCs) to encourage collaboration and the sharing of best practices to support minority and women workforce participation and compliance with the Commonwealth’s Affirmative Marketing Program for MBE and WBE business participation goals, with the goal of increasing overall diversity across DCAMM projects. The AOCs will include DCAMM construction projects with an Estimated Construction Cost (ECC) of over $35M and may include smaller projects with ECC over $10M to participate on a voluntary basis.

The AOCs will include members of the prime contractor staff, DCAMM construction project management and Access and Opportunity compliance staff as well as other invited participants committed to increasing workforce diversity and minority and women business participation.  The AOC meetings will be held monthly. The AOCs will serve as a central forum to assess workforce and diverse business participation and create space for participants to exchange information to improve participation and identify obstacles to achieving inclusion of minority and women workers and businesses on DCAMM construction projects.
