Greetings from DCAMM Contractor Certification!
To assist us with making the evaluation process effortless this Tip Sheet will discuss Creating a Digital Signature.
Why do you need a digital signature you wonder? We have seen many evaluations come into the office on the fillable PDF Standard Contractor Evaluation Form and for us to be able to verify they are coming from the correct individual an authentic digital signature is needed in lieu of a wet signature.
If you just type your name using a fancy font, that does not constitute a digital signature and follow up for additional information will be done by our compliance officers.
What is the difference if I type my name or have a digital signature?
.When a signature is typed, anyone can do that. We then must verify that the person who purportedly signed the document really did.
This is the digitally created signature. The signature is verified as to who signed the document.
To assist you in creating a digital signature, we have created a user guide and you can access on our website or via the link in this email.
