Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) play an important role in fostering a workplace where all employees feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed. ERGs help build community, promote inclusion, and strengthen the Commonwealth’s ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent. 

If you’re interested in starting an ERG at your agency, the ERG Roadmap Document provides sample plans, tools, and resources to guide you through the process — from getting started to sustaining long-term success.

The Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO) provides guidance and resources. The establishment, oversight, and management of ERGs are in partnership with your secretariat or agency leadership and diversity directors and officers.
