Here we provide a list of all the public health fish consumption advisories issued at freshwater locations in Massachusetts. For help finding fish advisories in your municipality or an affected waterbody, use the “search” feature to sort fish advisories by municipality or waterbody name.
Fish consumption advisories for contaminants other than PFAS apply to the consumption of all native game fish but do not apply to stocked trout at a waterbody (unless otherwise specified).

DDT=dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane
PAHs=polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
PCB=polychlorinated biphenyls
PFAS=per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances
[2] Uncooked serving sizes should be 8 to 12 oz. of fish for adults and children over 12, with smaller amounts for younger children.
[3] Sensitive populations include children under 12; and people who are nursing, pregnant, or may become pregnant
[4] This waterbody has not been evaluated for mercury. Per DPH’s statewide fish consumption advisory for mercury, sensitive populations should not eat fish from this waterbody until more information on mercury levels is available.
