MAIC Conference
The Immunization Division, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Adult Immunization Coalition (MAIC), presents the MAIC Conference every April, to support statewide efforts to increase adult immunization rates in the Commonwealth.
The Conference presents the most current adult immunization information, and shares strategies to support statewide efforts to increase adult immunization rates in Massachusetts. Professionals from public health departments, long-term-care facilities, pharmacies, colleges, hospitals, physician practices, community health centers, vaccine manufacturers, and others have found the Conference to be a valuable venue for continued learning and interaction with key immunization experts.
Our 29th Annual MAIC Conference took place on April 2. You’ll find the speakers’ PPTs here.
Immunization Updates
The Immunization Updates are a series of immunization-related webinars for health care providers, presented by the Immunization Division every spring. We’ll post next year’s schedule in April.

Social Media Campaigns
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Immunization Division, in coordination with the MDPH Communications Office, creates social media campaigns to discuss immunization related topics. These campaigns are geared towards the general public to highlight the importance of immunizations across the lifespan.
Please follow DPH on X (formerly Twitter) to see immunization related topics throughout the year. Healthcare professionals are encouraged to retweet messages they find interesting.
Some examples of campaigns include:
- National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) is an annual observance to highlight the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrate the achievements of immunization programs and their partners in promoting healthy communities.
- National Immunization Awareness Month in August (NIAM) provides an opportunity to highlight the value of immunization across the lifespan. Activities focus on encouraging all people to protect their health by being vaccinated against infectious diseases.
- National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), in December, is an annual reminder of the importance of flu vaccination through the holiday season and beyond.
VFC Compliance Training Webinar
