Job Title: Board Secretary/Minute Taker

Summary:

Responsible for attending, recording and drafting minutes of all public meetings of the Essex Regional Retirement Board (“Board”) and the Advisory Council of the Essex Regional Retirement System.  Board meetings are the last Monday of every month and begin at 8:30 a.m., and Advisory Council meetings are twice per year, typically at 10:00 a.m. on third Wednesday in April and October.

Salary:  A stipend of $350 per meeting.

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent writing skills.  Must be able to meet deadlines and multi-task, as necessary.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in recording public meetings and drafting meeting minutes.
  • General knowledge of the Massachusetts Open Meeting law required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Knowledge of municipal government and/or Massachusetts retirement systems preferred.
