Law Enforcement Equipment and Technology Grant Opportunity

This grant opportunity allows law enforcement departments in cities served through the federal Project Safe Neighborhoods Initiative (PSN) to apply for funding for equipment, software, and other technology items considered vital for preventing or reducing violent crime.

PLEASE NOTE: This program is not currently accepting applications for funding.

The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) will make available approximately $352,214 for this funding opportunity. Law enforcement agencies serving a community served through PSN are eligible to apply for up to half of the total available funding. 

This program is funded through the federal Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative.

 

Eligibility

Only the local police departments in the eight cities served through PSN are eligible to apply. Those cities are:

  • Boston,
  • Brockton,
  • Holyoke,
  • Lawrence,
  • Lowell,
  • New Bedford,
  • Springfield, and
  • Worcester.
