What is a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential?
Early educators who work with children ages birth to 5 years old, may apply for a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities in the early childhood education field. The CDA credential is a national credentialing program that assesses candidates using multiple sources of evidence, including an exam, observation and professional portfolio.
Early educators may apply for a CDA credential for center-based preschool settings, center-based infant/toddler settings, and family child care programs.
