Overview
The Office of Grants and Research has partnered with the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) to update the current National Crime Information Center (NCIC) platform to the new NCIC 3rd Generation (N3G). The primary goals and objectives of updating this project are to improve communication, enhance data management, and meet the FBI standards for effective and secure information exchange with the NCIC. By meeting FBI standards for communication and data security, the upgrade enhances protection against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of criminal justice information.
