Noah Boland, Environmental Analyst

Noah joined MassDOT in 2022 as an Environmental Analyst with the MEPA/NEPA unit after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management. As an Environmental Analyst, Noah reviews projects in development and identifies potential impacts to environmental resources and determines federal and state permitting requirements. His favorite aspect of his role is developing a deeper understanding of the many regulations that pertain to environmental resources, including wetlands, wildlife, fisheries, parkland, and more.

Outside of work, Noah enjoys running, climbing, and hiking. His favorite place to hike is a short drive northward to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where he and his family have hiked since long before he could speak the words, “Programmatic Categorical Exclusion.”
