NOTICE OF ELECTION
To Members and Retirees of the Amesbury Retirement System:
An election by mail is to be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 for the purpose of electing two (2) members to the Board of the Amesbury Retirement System. These two elected positions have three-year terms, commencing January 30, 2026.
All active and retired members of the Amesbury Retirement System are eligible as candidates provided that they file nomination papers containing the signatures of at least twenty (20) members of the system with the Amesbury Retirement Board. Nomination papers must be filed on or before 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 and may be obtained at the Amesbury Retirement Office located on the first floor of City Hall, 62 Friend Street, Amesbury, Massachusetts until such time as the Retirement Office moves to its new location at One Market Square, Amesbury, Massachusetts at which time they will be available at the new location.
BALLOTS
If more than two (2) candidates are nominated, the Board will send an Official Election Ballot to all members and retirees of the Amesbury Retirement System. These ballots will be due back no later than 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 and will be counted only if properly completed.

Please be advised that in the Retirement Office will be moving to the new City Hall at One Market Square, Amesbury, MA 01913. This move may occur during the election process.
