Election Date: December 11, 2025
Purpose To elect a member or retiree of the Attleboro Retirement System, to serve on the Attleboro Retirement Board for a period of three (3) years, commencing January 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2028.
Requirements of a Board Member Legislation requires Board Members to attend educational certification seminars annually. In addition Board Members will need 18 credits per term, with no more than 9 credits per year to stay on the Retirement Board.
Candidates
Any ACTIVE or RETIRED member of the Attleboro Retirement System.
Nomination Papers Interested parties may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Attleboro Retirement Board Office, a nomination paper containing signatures of at least twenty (20) active or retired members of the Attleboro Retirement System. Nomination Papers will be available for pick up in the Retirement Office beginning September 9, 2025. The Nomination Papers containing the necessary number of qualified signatures shall be filed not later than 12:00 noon on October 27, 2025 with the Retirement Office.
There is an annual stipend of $4,500.
THE ELECTION WILL BE CONDUCTED ENTIRELY BY MAIL.
