To members and retirees of the Hingham Contributory Retirement System:
Notice of Election
Election Date: July 22, 2025
Purpose
To elect the “Fourth Member” of the Hingham Retirement Board in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 32, 840 CMR 7.00.
Term of Office
Effective 07/30/2025-07/29/2028
Candidates
Members in service and retirees of the Hingham Contributory Retirement System.
Nomination Papers
Any member of retiree of the Hingham Contributory Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Hingham Retirement Board office a nomination paper or papers containing the signatures and addresses of at least twenty (20) members and/or retirees of the Hingham Contributory Retirement System.
Nomination papers may be obtained at:
Hingham Town Hall
Retirement Office (3rd floor)
210 Central Street
Hingham, MA 02043
The last day to submit nomination papers is June 5, 2025.
Ballots
If the Hingham Retirement Board determines that more than one (1) candidate has been nominated for this positon, the Board will prepare an Official Election Ballot(s). Each member and retiree will be sent a ballot(s) by mail shortly after.
All valid ballots received prior to 5:00 PM on July 22, 2025 shall be counted.
