New Bedford Retirement Board Election Declaration
Please let this serve as formal notification that the New Bedford Contributory Retirement System will not conduct an election on May 21, 2025, for the express purpose of electing two members of the New Bedford Contributory Retirement System to serve on the New Bedford Retirement Board for a three-year term commencing on July 1, 2025, and expiring on June 30, 2028.
With Leonard Baillargeon and William Cabral being the only two candidates submitting nomination papers, the New Bedford Retirement Board has declared at the monthly meeting held on April 30, 2025, that Mr. Baillargeon and Mr. Cabral shall take office and serve in all respects as though they had been elected by election.
