Notice of Election: Saugus Retirement System

An election notice to the members of the Saugus Retirement System for the elected board member position on the Saugus Retirement System.

Notice of Retirement Board Member Election

To all members active/inactive/retirees of the Saugus Contributory Retirement System:

An election will be held this year for the purpose of electing a member of the System to serve on the Saugus Retirement Board for a term of three (3) years; said term to commence on December 5, 2028. The election will be conducted entirely by US Postal service mail. All votes are due in the Retirement Office, located at 25R Main St, no later than Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 6:00pm.

All holding membership in the Saugus Contributory Retirement System are eligible to submit their name as a candidate, provided they file a nomination paper with the Saugus Retirement Board containing the signatures of at least twenty (20) members of the System. The signatures will then be verified by Michelle Church, the Election Officer. All nomination papers must be filed in the Retirement Office on or before 12:00 noon on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Nomination papers may be obtained at the Saugus Retirement Office, 25R Main St, Saugus, MA 01906.

If the Retirement Board determines that more than one (1) candidate has been nominated, the Board shall prepare an Official Election Ballot. Each member of the System shall be sent a ballot by mail shortly after nominations are closed on September 19, 2022. These ballots shall be counted only if post marked by Monday, November 3, 2022.
