NOTICE OF ELECTION
Purpose:
To elect the “Fourth Member” of the Winchester Retirement Board in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 32, 840 CMR 7.00.
Election Date:
October 21, 2025
Term Of Office:
Effective November 1, 2025 – October 31, 2028
Candidates:
Must be a member in service or a retiree of the Winchester Retirement System. Anyone receiving a survivor benefit or a non-contributory pension does not qualify as a candidate and cannot vote for a candidate.
Nomination Papers:
Any member or retiree of the Winchester Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing a nomination paper containing the printed names, address, and signatures of at least 20 members and/or retirees of the Winchester Retirement System. Anyone receiving a survivor benefit or a non-contributory pension cannot nominate a candidate.
Nomination Papers can be obtained at the Winchester Retirement Office located on the Third Floor of the Winchester Town Hall at 71 Mt Vernon Street, Winchester, MA, or call the Retirement Office at (781) 721-7127 to have one mailed or emailed to you.
Due Date:
The last day to submit nomination papers is Friday, September 5, 2025.
Election information: All ballots must be submitted by Mail. Hand-delivered ballots will only be accepted if placed in the official envelopes provided. Envelopes must be sealed according to the ballot instructions; unsealed or improperly sealed envelopes will be disqualified. Ballots received after 12 PM (Noon) on Monday, October 21, 2025, will not be counted.
