NOTICE OF ELECTION

September 3, 2025

Active Members, Inactive Members and Retirees of the Woburn Retirement System:

Notice of Election: Election Date: Thursday December 11, 2025

Purpose: To elect one (1) of the two Member Elected Representatives of the Woburn Retirement System in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c. 32, § 20 (4)(b) and CMR 840, 7:00.

Term of Office: Three (3) years, commencing January 1, 2026

Candidates: To qualify as a candidate, you must be an active member or a retiree of the Woburn Retirement System. Anyone receiving a survivor benefit does not qualify as a candidate and cannot vote for a candidate.

Nomination Papers: Interested parties may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Woburn Retirement Board Office, a nomination paper containing the signatures of at least Twenty (20) active Retirees and or Members.

The last day to submit nomination papers is – October 27, 2025 by 3:00pm

Absentee Ballots: Available to all members upon written request filed no later than seven (7) days before the election and shall be counted only if received no later than the closing of polls on the day of election.

Board Members will be required to attend Board meetings on the last Wednesday of every month and at other times as needed. They will also be required to complete 18 hours of educational credits during their term and to file an Annual Statement of Financial Interest with PERAC
