Facilities
The OVA operated with a flexible work environment to maximize the effectiveness of tour team members. Office, remote and on-site work will support the demands and responsibilities of each role.
In March 2024, the OVA established office leased space through coordination with EHS at 100 Hancock Street, Quincy through FY25. Following coordination with our partners at DCAMM and EOTTS, in June 2025 our team has proudly moved into its custom-designed, modern workspace at 50 Braintree Hill Office Park, Suite 108 in Braintree.
At our office, the OVA has a complete set of flags ordered through a woman-owned, veteran-run business and will display the US, State, eight Uniformed Services and POW/MIA flags. It is the intent of the Office to utilize veteran-owned businesses for office needs. Veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to register with the state to become approved vendors.
Training and Education
The OVA plans to incorporate interns from local colleges and universities to augment full time staff and add to student experiences, with our first two part-time employees/interns, Thomas Gower (Harvard University) and Cody Black (Suffolk University), completing their time with our office in June 2025.
The Office intends to use continuing education to find ways to review lessons learned and incorporate new technologies to best serve the veteran community.
