Description

The Reentry Counselor will provide reentry planning and case management services for people transitioning after incarceration, probation and parole. The Reentry Counselor will work with community based organizations, with the Sheriff's Department and inmates. During the term of apprenticeship the Reentry Counselor will become familiar with "reentry-focused" resources as well as other counseling responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Assistant Superintendent of the Community Safety Center, or his authorized agent.

(Every 2,000 hours = one year) total hours: 4,000

 

Related technical instruction

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires 150 hours each year of related technical instruction which must be mastered by the apprentice in order to successfully complete the program. For further information, please call the Division of Apprentice Standards at (617) 626-5409.
