Request for Reasonable Accommodation

EOHHS Careers Reasonable accommodation

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services value the diverse backgrounds, skills, talents, and experiences people with disabilities bring to the workplace. We will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified employees and applicants with disabilities in all aspects of state employment, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and state law unless doing so would create an undue hardship.

Reasonable accommodations may include, but are not limited to:

  • providing readers or sign language interpreters during the hiring process;
  • providing written materials in accessible formats (e.g., large print or Braille);
  • conducting interviews, tests, and other components of the hiring process in accessible locations;
  • providing assistive technology or equipment (e.g., screen readers)

Reasonable accommodation requests can be made either orally or in writing. A family member, friend, health professional, or other representative may request a reasonable accommodation on your behalf. The request must be made for a reason related to a disability.

To request a reasonable accommodation, scroll to the bottom of the job announcement and look for the name of the contact person listed as shown in the sample below:
