Section 8 Veterans Housing Voucher Program (VHVP)

The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) manages this program that serves homeless veterans with disabilities, severe psychiatric, and/or substance abuse disorders.

Program Guidelines and Information

EOHLC's Division of Public Housing and Rental Assistance has the responsibility for the oversight of all state and federally-aided rental assistance programs which address the needs of low-income families, elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Admission is by referral only from:

• Massachusetts Executive Office of Veterans’ Services
• VA Medical Centers
• Executive Office of Veterans’ Services provider agencies

Grants

Up to 92 VHVP subsidies are distributed by EOHLC throughout the Commonwealth.
