Sustainable Procurement

This 1.5-hour MCPPO training webinar will discuss promoting long-term health and policy goals through procurement practices.

The MCPPO program is hosting guest speaker, Dr. Matthew Gardner, founder and managing partner of Sustainserv, who also is an instructor for the Sustainability and Environmental Management Program at the Harvard University Extension School, in a training on sustainable procurement. Similar to established “green initiatives” in product production and purchasing, sustainable procurement is an approach to the use and disposal of goods and services that helps to enhance the long-term health and vitality of society, economies and the planet.  Sustainable procurement can accelerate the transition to an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable future while meeting local policy goals, and hopefully achieving cost savings for your organization.
