Through this grant opportunity, the Office of Grants and Research intends to fund projects that offer a high probability of improving the functioning of the juvenile justice system, prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice system, and intervene with system-involved youth to provide positive guidance and reduce the chances of further juvenile justice system involvement. OGR will prioritize funding for pre-existing, promising, or evidence-based juvenile justice programs and activities.
This program is made available through funding awarded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).
Eligibility
State agencies, units of local government (municipality/police department/etc.) and nonprofit 501c3 organizations are all eligible to apply for funding through this program.

Compliance Monitoring
Massachusetts is required to maintain a manual for an effective system of monitoring facilities to ensure compliance with the JJDP Act and Formula Grant Regulations. As the SAA, EOPSS OGR is tasked with the implementation of an effective system of monitoring for which it assigns a compliance monitor for executing policies and procedures and annually revising of the monitoring manual. The Compliance Monitoring Manual describes the Compliance Monitoring system in Massachusetts.
