What is happening?

The contractor is continuing with roadway and bridge construction activities and bridge demolition operations.

Travel Impacts

Upcoming ramp closures

The following ramp closures are expected:

  • TENTATIVE: Ramp G and Ramp G1 (I-95 to I-90 EB) Traffic Switch Thursday Night, June 25 to Saturday night, June 27.  A new Traffic Pattern will be in place.
  • Ramp K (I-90 WB to Park Road) from Sunday, June 28, 2026, to Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Over the next two weeks, drivers should anticipate lane closures on the highway, bridges, and on/ off ramps; rolling roadblocks; and intermittent road closures within the workzones listed below.

Scheduled Work

I-90 over I-95 and the Charles River

Work within the project area around the bridge carrying I-90 over I-95 and the Charles River will entail:

  • Construction of bridge barrier
  • Approach roadway reconstruction and drainage installation
  • Approach Roadway Paving
  • Noise Wall Foundation Installation I-90 East Bound

Ramp G Bridges

Work within the project area around the ramp bridges carrying I-95 north and south to I-90 eastbound will entail:

  • Construction of permanent roadway embankments
  • Hot mix asphalt paving of new ramps
  • New Traffic Pattern shifting traffic on to newly constructure Ramp G Bridges.
  • Demolition of existing Ramp G Bridge over I-90.
     

Work Hours

  • Daytime Hours: Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. – as required)
  • Nighttime hours: Monday through Saturday from 8:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. as required
  • No operations are expected on July 3 and July 4.

Travel Tips

Drivers should pay attention to all signage and move carefully through the work zone. Police details, lane markings, temporary barriers, traffic cones, signage, and other tools will be used to control traffic and maintain safe work zones.
