Underserved Communities Traffic Safety Grant Program

This grant opportunity makes federal funding available to nonprofits in Massachusetts for programs aimed at reducing motor vehicle crashes, injuries and deaths.

Overview

PLEASE NOTE: This program is not currently accepting applications for funding.

A total of $500,000 is being made available to support 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in efforts to address critical road safety issues in underserved communities across Massachusetts.

Applications must address one or more of the following road safety areas:

  • Alcohol and/or Drug-Impaired Driving
  • Bicyclist Safety
  • Child Passenger Safety
  • Distracted Driving
  • Drowsy Driving
  • Motorcyclist Safety
  • Older Drivers ≥ 65 years old
  • Pedestrian Safety
  • Seat Belt Usage
  • Speeding/Aggressive Driving
  • Younger Drivers ≤ 21 years old

This program is made available through federal funds awarded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving low-income communities in Massachusetts.
