On October 24, 2019, the Energy and Environment Bureau of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office will convene some of the nation’s top energy market design experts and a cross section of New England stakeholders to participate in a professionally facilitated symposium to discuss the long-term wholesale market design options that will best support New England’s clean energy transition. The day will include two expert panels, each followed by a facilitated breakout session. A post-symposium paper, which will be publicly posted, will summarize the concepts explored and principles proposed to help guide future regional and national conversations about electricity market reform.
Certain introductory materials intended to familiarize stakeholders with the issues and the views of the symposium speakers are posted below. Participants are encouraged review these materials prior to the symposium. The symposium agenda has also been posted.
