The Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) releases annual public reports analyzing motor vehicle citation data conducted by a research team from Salem and Worcester State Universities. The report fulfills a requirement of the 2019 Hands-Free Law (formally known as An Act Requiring the Hands-Free Use of Mobile Telephones While Driving) that prohibits drivers from using electronic devices, including cell phones, unless the device is in hands-free mode.
