MassDEP COVID-19 guidance for waste site cleanup activities

information on the status of MassDEP’s Bureau of Waste Site Cleanup (BWSC) operations and expectations related to MCP site work.

MassDEP is coordinating with the public, Licensed Site Professionals and persons conducting cleanup at disposal sites to provide information about the impacts of COVID-19 in Massachusetts. The materials below provides information on the status of Waste Site Cleanup operations, expectations related to ongoing cleanup activities following the June 15, 2021 end to the State of Emergency.

- The "Guidance on Continuity of MassDEP Waste Site Cleanup Operations and MCP Compliance during COVID-19 State of Emergency" (updated July 22, 2020) has been RESCINDED as of June 15, 2021.

- The MCP Q&A: COVID-19 Edition has been RESCINDED as of June 15, 2021, although certain aspects of the answers (emailing local officials, live-streaming public meetings) will be incorporated into the Master Q&A for long-term use.

- The weekly BWSC Office Hours will now be held monthly.  Archive episodes are available on the MassDEP YouTube channel, as described below.
