The Executive Office of Technology Services & Security (EOTSS) is taking inventory of the tools we use today as part of the Modern Workplace Program initiative. For collaboration and productivity tools, the modern workplace will include Microsoft Office Pro Plus, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Teams – as well as other tools such as the Adobe product suite.
As we move towards a modern workplace, we will retire Microsoft Skype for Business (SfB) within EOTSS. There is nothing you need to do to prepare for this transition. If you use SfB to chat (instant message) or schedule meetings, you can leverage similar features using Microsoft Teams.
We will work with remaining Executive Offices over the next several months as we retire SfB across the Commonwealth. Please read below for more information should you use SfB today or wish to learn more about using Microsoft Teams.
