Health Survey Program

The HSP manages major survey surveillance systems including the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), a population-based annual phone survey, and the Youth Health Survey (YHS), a middle and high school behavioral survey.

HSP staff analyze survey data and disseminate information from the results for assessments of health status in Massachusetts, health care policy planning, and the development of preventive health interventions
