The program intends to build ground-mount solar PV generation facilities within state highway layouts throughout Massachusetts.
This solar initiative reflects the agency’s desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by promoting renewable energy generation. Our goal is to create energy savings by procuring electricity at a favorable rate, generate revenue by using unused state land and also support the Commonwealth’s green and clean economy.
