The Department of Career Services (DCS) uses policy issuances to transmit and communicate to locale officials and stakeholders the policies of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with regard to the implementation of the workforce development system in conjunction with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) / Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related federal and state statutory and/ or regulatory requirements. Policy issuances generally require procedural action at the local level to implement provisions of the policy.
