It is October 7th and approximately two weeks until the Massachusetts Trial Court's 8th Annual Cultural Appreciation Week which is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 21st, - Friday, October 25th, 2024. This year's theme is "Diverse Threads, One Tapestry. The Strength of Connections."

Cultural Proficiency Champions, also referred to as Champions, across the state are busy preparing for this year's celebration which is believed to be the largest celebration of its kind in any US court system.

"We are really excited about this special week to celebrate and learn about new cultures both in the courts and the community," said Dr. Carmen Gomez, who oversees this statewide celebration. She also serves as Deputy Commissioner of Pretrial Services.
