Welcome to the Surplus Property Website
The State Surplus Property Office (SSPO) has launched the Surplus Property Listing Website.
The website, launched in spring 2022, includes photographs and description profiles for items, providing users with greater insight to available surplus property. “The website is a major improvement to its predecessor, which was a PDF list of available items,” said Surplus Property Coordinator, Ted Bunnell. “The website supports a better, more efficient user experience when working with the SSPO.”
The website updates in real time and offers catalog searching based on criteria such as price, current condition, or location. Users may set up a wish list, which alerts them when items they would like to receive become available on the site.
Feedback from early users has been positive: users are pleased to find that the website cuts down on the paperwork associated with declaring and transferring surplus property. Additionally, the sorting and photo browsing capabilities allow for a simpler, more modern approach to finding items.
How Do I Become a User?
Executive Branch agencies, municipal organizations, eligible non-profits, and other eligible entities are invited to declare and receive items through the Surplus Property Program.
If you are an eligible entity interested in receiving credentials to request or declare property through the SSPO website, please contact the team at OSD_SSPO@mass.gov.
