News  Probation Informational Hotline responds to 235 calls

A team of volunteers for the MPS Emergency Informational Hotline, a phone line set up to answer Probation questions during COVID-19, has responded to 235 inquiries pertaining to a wide variety of probation and court-related matters.

  • All 235 inquiries have been non-emergency in nature 
  • Sixty-percent of inquiries pertain to a combination of court-users inquiring about records, sealings and expungements (32%) and probationers attempting to contact their probation officer (28%) 
  • Twenty-one percent of inquiries pertain to an "other inquiry" which includes redirected calls to other agencies and/or court departments and calls from internal probation staff for general assistance

Hotline Team members include: First Deputy Commissioner Dianne Fasano, Regional Supervisor - Boston Municipal Court (BMC) Renee Payne, Statewide Training Manager Patricia Gavin, Regional Supervisor Elizabeth Daigneault, Administrative Services Unit Manager/Chief Probation Officer Matthew DeVeau, and Training Program Manager Kevin Riley.

Field Services Operations Coordinators (FSOC)s: Shayna Simmonds, Brian Balestracci, Erin Horton, Kathleen Berry, Leah O'Brien, Richard St. Onge, Scott Fichera, and Field Services Administrator Sean Houghton. Field Services Coordinator Natalie Lorenti also served on the team.
