The Brockton District Court Probation staff gathered together on Wednesday, October 9, to capture the group in pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to show support for one of their colleagues.

Staff decorated the entire office in pink which featured large pink paper flowers as well as varying shades of solid and patterned pink paper on cabinets. A pink ribbon sticker, the symbol for Breast Cancer Awareness, was placed next to employees’ name plates on their office doors. Pink ribbon streamers also hung from the ceiling.

"We wanted to demonstrate our support to our colleague and let her know how much we care," said Michael Branch, Brockton District Court Chief Probation Officer.

Probation Commissioner Pamerson Ifill visited the office yesterday to show his and the Executive Leadership Team’s support.

“We all know someone who has been impacted by Cancer. It is important that we come together to support and encourage our colleagues, family, and friends who are experiencing this and help bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness,” said Commissioner Ifill.

It was Brockton District Court Probation that conceived of the Massachusetts Probation Services' "Wear Pink Fridays" to help spread awareness during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
