A key component of Statewide Contracting is committing to establish partnerships with diverse vendors. Prospective bidders and awarded Statewide Contract Vendors often have questions about meeting this obligation.

The Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion in state contracting. The SDO certifies diverse businesses and small Massachusetts-based businesses and connects these companies with business opportunities and resources to help them grow. Additionally, the Supplier Diversity Office works directly with Executive Agencies and awarded Statewide Contract Vendors, also called prime contractors, to increase their spending with diverse businesses through the Supplier Diversity Program (SDP).

For more information about how Statewide Contract Vendors may meet their SDP requirements, listen to Statewide Contractors Working with Diverse Businesses, a podcast episode of WOSD News. The podcast features SDO Training and Policy Manager Katherine Thomas who outlines and answers frequently asked questions.
