Alan J. Blyweiss Owes More Than $96,000 in Child Support
Boston -- Revenue Commissioner Alan LeBovidge today announced that Alan J. Blyweiss, featured on the Department of Revenue's most recent Ten Most Wanted poster, was arrested in Columbia, Maryland on April 16, 2007. Blyweiss will be arraigned Monday morning April 30 th in Stoughton District Court.
Blyweiss, 38, a former commercial cleaning salesman from Stoughton owes $96,089 for the care of his daughter. The Child Support Enforcement Division of DOR had been searching for Blyweiss for about five years.
"This is the fourth person to be caught from our most recent Ten Most Wanted poster," LeBovidge said. "We hope that this arrest leads to the payment of the money owed to support his daughter and that other parents who are not paying will come into compliance with their child support orders so they don't wind up in a similar situation."
Since the Ten Most Wanted poster campaign began in April 1992, DOR has collected about $3.6 million in back child support from the noncustodial parents featured on the 13 posters. Blyweiss is the 96 th of the 113 scofflaws pictured on the posters to be apprehended. The Child Support Enforcement division of DOR collected $516.3 million in fiscal 2006, a 4 percent increase over fiscal 2005.
