AskMOVA

AskMOVA is a free online resource offered by the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA). MOVA supports free and accessible direct services throughout Massachusetts that help crime victims and their families recover from the impacts of violent crime. AskMOVA allows victims, survivors, and service providers to find these free services in an area that is convenient, accessible, and safe for the victim or survivor.

Find services organized by crime type below. Within each crime type, you can search for services by zip code or find services listed by Massachusetts county.

COVID-19 Update

On March 10, Governor Charlie Baker declared a state of emergency and announced new precautionary measures for employees to follow in order to mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). MOVA is implementing these suggested measures while working to ensure the continuity of operations. Please continue to communicate with MOVA staff via email and phone. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

If you or someone you know is quarantining in a home where they do not feel safe, help is available. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is offering assistance and safety planning 24/7. Call 1-800-799-7233 for live support. If you’re unable to speak safely, you can log onto thehotline.org to chat online, or text LOVEIS to 22522.

During this time, we encourage you to check individual program websites for the latest information on their delivery of services.
