Who we serve

SOR transforms individual outcomes through its holistic approach to human development. On a deeply personal level, participants immerse themselves in educational initiatives aimed at creating meaningful opportunities during and beyond their incarceration.

In addition to its interpersonal effect on each participant's life, SOR also seeks to reduce systematic recidivism in Massachusetts. In its first four years of SOR’s existence, recidivism has reduced from 33% to 10% reducing the harm caused by crimes as well as the costs of incarceration on taxpayers.

You can learn more about our program by watching two stories produced by WCVB's Chronicle and GBH Boston.
