Jane Wang

Director of Interior Planning, Design and Management

Jane Wang joined the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in June 2000, progressing from Deputy Director in the Office of Leasing and State Office Planning (OLSOP) to Director of Interior Planning, Design and Management in the Office of Facilities Management and Maintenance.

As a Deputy Director, Ms. Wang built a team to deliver interior space planning services for the clients in state owned office buildings and spaces leased from private building owners.  Some accomplishments include establishing standards for furniture procurement benchmarks by evaluating manufacturers’ products, qualifying that the product meet the standards set with the best value.  She developed a database that the entire design team utilizes for consistent quality deliverables.  Ms. Wang also assisted with updating space standards to ensure space utilization efficiency.

In 2006, her role expanded to provide furniture, fixture and equipment (FF/E) services for capital building construction and renovation projects.  In June 2012, Ms. Wang was promoted to the Director of the Interior Planning, Design and Management.  This promotion formalized the role she played which led the design team to many successful capital projects, involving millions of dollars in furniture procurement while continuing to provide space planning services to state agencies throughout the Commonwealth.

Prior to joining DCAMM, Ms. Wang served as the Design Manager at the Department of Revenue (DOR) for over 10 years, where she oversaw the design unit and provided planning services for DOR offices in Massachusetts and other states.

Ms. Wang’s personal passion is mentoring high school and college students.  She is an active participant for the mentorship program at Andover High School.  She also volunteered at the mentorship program at the Boys and Girls Club in Lawrence, MA, and most recently participated the Commonwealth Disability Mentoring Program.

Ms. Wang has a BA from Maryland Institute College of Art’s Interior Design Department.
