Mark Boyle, AICP
Mark Boyle is a Public Member of the Board, appointed by Gov. Charlie Baker in 2022. Retiring from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in 2021 after serving 45 years in state and municipal government, Mark has held various positions relating to planning and development. He has served as a community development planner for the cities of Boston and Somerville, Executive Director of the City of Willimantic (CT) Community Redevelopment Agency, Director of Planning and Community Development for the Town of Watertown, Executive Director of the Watertown Arsenal Development Corporation, Assistant General Manager and Director of Real Estate for the MBTA, and Administrator of the MassDOT Office of Real Estate and Asset Development. Mark has been an active member of the American Planning Association-American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), National Steering Committee of Railvolution-Transit Oriented Development, municipal representative to Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), Board of Directors of Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, Case Judge at Suffolk University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, Guest tour/lecturer at Boston College’s Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action Summer Internship Program, member of several committees for the Town of Milton (Public Works and Town Farm Reuse, Fire Station Buildings, Open Space and Recreation). Mark is a graduate of Boston College (BA) and Suffolk University (MPA).
