The Association of Boards of Certification (ABC)* is pleased to offer a web-based Very Small Water System Practice Exam. The 50 sample questions match the content and difficulty of the ABC Very Small Water System Certification Examination. Developed using the same procedures as actual ABC examinations, the sample questions may be used as a practice examination to help operators become familiar with the types of questions on the ABC Very Small Water System Certification Exam. The practice exam is not intended to be a substitute for studying for the certification exam.
The practice exam provides many advantages to operators that will be taking the ABC Very Small Water System Certification Exam, such as:
- An opportunity to prepare for the certification exam. The practice exam is based on the same Need-to-Know Criteria as the ABC Very Small Water System Certification Exam. Questions on the practice exam are similar to questions (but not the same questions) that will appear on the certification exam.
- An opportunity to become familiar with the web-based testing process. The questions on the practice exam are presented in the same computer format as the web-based very small water system certification exam. This is very valuable in alleviating fears created by not knowing what to expect.
Registration Process
You can register to take the practice ABC Very Small Water System Exam at http://store.lxr.com/product.aspx?id=114. The fee for taking the practice exam is $20.00 and must be paid by credit card. Please note that the credit card statement will show the fee being paid to LXR, not ABC. In order to take the examination on the web, you must have Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher (or Netscape 3.0 or higher). Internet Explorer 5.0 is highly recommended. You must also have the "cookies" feature enabled on your browser.
After placing your online order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with specific instructions guiding you through the examination process. The e-mail will contain your private password that allows you to take the exam and receive individualized feedback on your performance after completing the online examination. Please do not delete the confirmation e-mail until you have completed the exam process.
Once you register for the practice exam, you will have access to it for a maximum period of 30 days. During that time, you can open the exam as often as you like, and you can decide whether answers are shown or not shown. However, once you grade the exam you will not be able to access it again. You may use the practice exam in two different ways:
- You can receive immediate feedback. If you want to use this strategy, you can immediately grade each of your responses (by clicking on the "Grade" button) and then display the correct answer.
- You can take the examination just like you would take the certification examination by simply answering each question.
Upon completion of the exam, you are given the option of obtaining a score report. Once you ask for a score report (by clicking on the "Finish and display results"), you will no longer have access to the practice exam.
