Welcome to MSWB

Welcome to the website of the MassHire State Workforce Board (MSWB).

The 33 members of the MSWB develop strategies that guide the Commonwealth's efforts in ensuring workers have the skills they need to fill the jobs businesses create,  for a more prosperous Commonwealth, with higher wages for workers, larger profits for businesses and stronger communities for all.

About the MSWB

The MSWB ensures our efforts are driven by the demands of our businesses and the communities they serve. Our members, review, revise, and advise the executive branch on how to create and sustain the workforce Massachusetts needs to succeed in the world economy. Our members represent all parts of the Commonwealth, and come from all walks of life from small businesses to multinational corporations, from organized labor to community organizations, and state and local officials.

The MSWB has four full meetings a year. Every meeting is open to the public, and we invite you - members of the public or workforce development professionals alike - to attend and make your voice heard. While this site is designed to update you on the latest developments of the MSWB, it is also a portal to other sites, including the One-Stop Career Centers to the Local Workforce Investment Boards to the state Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development - across the spectrum of the Commonwealth's workforce development efforts.

The Administration of Governor Baker is committed to prosperity through partnership. This website is one way we fulfill that goal - if you think we can improve our online presence, please contact us.  We look forward to working with you as we strengthen our workforce, the economy, and the Commonwealth as a whole.
