Autopsy Reports

Performing autopsies is a key element of our office's work. Not everyone is entitled to receive a copy of an autopsy report. If you meet eligibility, you can request to receive a copy of one of our autopsy reports.

A forensic autopsy is the examination of a body by a medical examiner with specialized training. The medical examiner looks for any signs of disease or injury that may have contributed to the death. If you are authorized, you may request a copy of the autopsy report, which is the written record of the medical examiner's findings. We do not perform an autopsy on every case that comes into our office.
