The Commission dismissed the bypass appeal of a Police Officer with the New Bedford Police Department who was bypassed for promotion his unauthorized consultation of police resources for personal reasons and also for credible claims of violence from his ex-wife that led to the issuance of a restraining order.
Bypass appeal denied. The Appellant's performance as a crossing guard and other factors provided the City with reasonable justification to bypass the Appellant for the position of reserve police officer.
