The Commission upheld the termination of a municipal police officer whose pattern of on-duty and off-duty misconduct, resulting from his alcohol abuse and a failure to avail himself of the numerous opportunities afforded to him to seek treatment, provided just cause to discharge him.

The Commission dismissed the Appellant's bypass appeal for Springfield police officer as she was unable to provide any evidence to show that she qualified for the residency preference, without which she was not reachable for consideration.

The Commission dismissed the Appellant’s education, certifications, training/licenses and experience (ECT&E) appeal when the facts established that the Appellant received all ECT&E credits he claimed and there was no further relief that the Commission could grant him.
