The Commission denied the appeal of a now-retired Lieutenant at Bridgewater State Hospital and upheld his 5-day suspension. The Appellant had sent an unprofessional email to his superiors warning of employee dissatisfaction with the privatization of the facility and the bidding process for replacement jobs.

The Commission dismissed the appeal from the scoring of the Appellant’s education, certifications, training / licenses and education (ECT&E) component of the Boston Fire Lieutenant’s Promotional Examination after the Human Resources Division corrected his scores and he received all credit to which he was entitled.
